Taiwan Day 7 (19 Dec Kaohsiung -> Kenting)

From Kaohsiung, we took a bus to Kenting. It was an express bus by 中南客运 - NT616 per pax (2-way). Journey from Kaohsiung to Kenting took about 2.5hrs by the express bus, which was super "log-kok" haha!!

Checked into Farm Guest House 墾丁牧場旅棧 http://www.ktfun.idv.tw/, which is a 民宿 run by a very friendly couple with 2 kids ;). NT1,600 per night including breakfast (think it might be sandwich. update tomorrow). We received complimentary t-shirts too!

I love our turtle-theme room!! Very nice!! It was exactly like what I saw on its website! These were all painted by the couple. Cool!!

Actually there are LOTSA 民宿 and small hotels along the entire stretch of Kenting Street so even if we had come without making any reservation, there would not be problem finding a place to stay. Further, it's winter season now, and room rates are cheaper compared to summer. Ooh.. for the same reason, the place is quieter and not as vibrant. FYI, Kenting is almost the most southern point of Taiwan, famous for beach & outdoor activities such as diving, whale watching etc.

Ok, dinner time at a local eatery... goose meat, 草木耳 (some fungus plant), seaweed soup with egg. The waitress said the seaweed was a seasonable item so we ordered loh... Including 2 bowls of rice, the total bill came to NT420. Quite expensive hoh....

We have signed up for a half-day tour tomorrow morning.. till then.. bye!
