Took us about 3.5hrs by train from Hualien Railway Station to Taipei Railway Station. We reached Taipei at about 9pm.
Checked into Miyi Hotel http://www.miyi.com.tw/, also recommended by Yen & Stephane. Location - near the Taipei Main Station, one street behind CityInn. NT1,900 (with window/ street view) for 1st 2 nights then NT1,700 (no window) for our 3rd & 4th night. I had planned to stay 1 night at a hot spring hotel but decided otherwise cos we can just do a day trip for hot spring hehe.. Anyway, Miyi Hotel is not too bad lah..but its wireless was really weak! It has big TV panel compared to CityInn though ;p

Went hunting for dinner which we bought from nearby streets. Camera’s battery was flat so couldn’t take pictures. We saw a queue and so we also joined, but as we didn’t know what they were queuing, I asked one of the guys waiting for his food haha!! He said the stall was popular for its 大蛋饼 (which is really quite a big piece) – NT30. It’s actually fried cabbage with egg. Aye.. though they are just a small stall at an alley, they have an electronic ticket dispenser one hor.. don't play play.. hahha!! We also bought mee suah & crispy fried chicken cutlet which was super big! Too bad no pictures ;p
