Booked Taiwan Tour Bus on this route recommended by郑妈妈. She said it would be a waste not to see more of Hualien since we were already there. Anyway, our train was to depart Hualien for Taipei at about 6pm. Basically, this day trip covers Hualien’s mountainous & coastal scenic spots. In the past, there was no connecting highway linking both the mountain route and the coastal route so this is a new route. Cost NT988 per person excluding lunch.
Frankly, I didn’t think there was anything impressive about this route, especially after the Taroko Gorge trip. In addition, we had already seen the Pacific Ocean when we were at Kenting..

Hmm, where's that "ugly" lady yr hubby spoke of at WuLai hotspring?
I only saw a cheery lady posing next to 郑妈妈.. Or could yr hub be mistaken? ;-)
Hi, nice post. Thks for sharing!
Yr info on Taipei Pass is helpful! Maybe on our next trip, my wife & I can get that instead of the ezlink-style YouYouKa travel card..
Cheers! :)
