Taiwan Day 11 (23 Dec Hualien 花东线)

Booked Taiwan Tour Bus on this route recommended by郑妈妈. She said it would be a waste not to see more of Hualien since we were already there. Anyway, our train was to depart Hualien for Taipei at about 6pm. Basically, this day trip covers Hualien’s mountainous & coastal scenic spots. In the past, there was no connecting highway linking both the mountain route and the coastal route so this is a new route. Cost NT988 per person excluding lunch.

Frankly, I didn’t think there was anything impressive about this route, especially after the Taroko Gorge trip. In addition, we had already seen the Pacific Ocean when we were at Kenting..

-> 鲤鱼潭

-> fat fat piggy roaming at one of the tourist spots which is famous for its ice cream.. but not fantastic leh... ;(

-> Lunch at one of the hot spring hotels which we stop over at. NT200.

-> 北回归线 which distinguishes the warm vs temperate climate/ zone of Taiwan.

-> 石梯坪 (coastal scenery of Pacific Ocean)
