And so begin my 18 days Taiwan trip!! Yeah!!! Ok, I'll try to update everyday, so I won't build up a back log. Will try to keep it short and sweet (if I can hahah!!)
We took Cathay Pacific from Singapore -> HK (transit) -> Taipei. I must say Cathay's not too bad. Has individual entertainment system, and best of all, Haagan Daz ice-cream that goes with our lunch during the Singapore-HK leg haha!! Then from HK to Taipei, though it was only 1hr 15min, we were served meal again, but no more ice-cream ;(
Arrival @ Taipei Taoyuan Airport
Took Express Bus 国光 to Taipei Main Station - NT125 per pax, about an hour journey.

Temperature's between 16-18 degrees! Perfect!
Checked in CityInn http://www.gocityinn.com/, a boutique hotel recommended by Yen & Stephane. Very accessible and about 5min walk from the Taipei Main Station. We paid NT1,920 per night - no breakfast. Actually they do have rooms at lower rate but there was none available when we booked the place. Small but well-equipped. Free internet (hence this blog of course! haha!), there's also a small kitchenette with oven, toaster, fridge etc (good for family with kids I suppose), free self-service laundry service including dryer and washing powder, complimentary coffee/ tea/ 2 bottles of water/ a pack of chips, lots of TV channels (> 100 actually, amazing!! oh, there are adult channels so not so good for kids ;p)
Ok, after taking pictures of room/ hotel, we headed out for food around the hotel. It was already 8+pm so didn't venture very far (yet).
We saw people queue, so we also queue loh haha!! Don't remember the name of this bun, but it's some pepperish meat conventional grilled bun, something like how naan is prepared. Anyway, it's NT40 per bun. Not too bad lah..
Then we tried this braised beef handmade noodle, which won some award (2nd place). Quite nice actually ;) NT90 per bowl.
Ok, that's all for today. It's 10.50pm now...
To be continued... heading Taichung tomorrow. We'll be back (in Taipei) on our last leg in Taiwan....
