KL Mega Sale (30Jun - 3Jul)

It's been 6 months since we last went KL. The last time was before I started new job.. Hehe..Before you read further, I better warn you that this gonna be a long article hoh..

On the road
26-seater coach from Grassland. S$30 per pax (one-way). Boarded at Boon Lay Shopping Centre. There was entertainment on board - the driver played The Grudge 2 (US version). I've always been afraid to watch horror movies but heck, it was broad daylight and there were >20 people on the bus haha! Anyway, I thought it was quite a senseless movie. We bought the return ticket (RM38 per pax - big difference right?) when the bus reached KL, at Berjaya Plaza, which is right opposite Berjaya Times Square. We waited for >30min before a replacement (better quality ha!) bus came. Similarly, we watched movie on bus and this time, it was a crap show called Date Movie.

Hotel - The Coronade (30Jun & 1Jul)
We booked 2 nights with this hotel, which is literally a stone's throw away from Sungei Wang and Lot10. Times Square is just 5min walk ;). We booked through http://www.asiatravel.com/ at S$99 nett per night inclusive of 2 breakfasts (won't miss much even if you don't take). Actually, this was our 5th time staying at this hotel - standard's so-so lah.. For the price at such good location, we have no complaints hehe ;)

Oh, actually yes this time, cos we waited for >45min before they had a room for us. It didn't make sense especially when we've already prepaid for it leh. So, I decided not to be nice. I went up to the staff who apologised and explained they ran full-house the day before. Then, I replied, "Yah, but I'm checking in today." At the back of my mind, I was thinking, "Full-house? That's your problem. Why did you impose your customers with your problems? That only showed there wasn't a proper system." Then, I just put myself at the check-in counter and made sure the staff was trying to do something. Finally, the staff had to upgrade us haha ;p

Actually, I didn't care whether it was an upgraded room (no difference except there was a PC in-room (have to pay lah if wana use internet). I just wanted to put down our bags and go for our lunch! A hungry man is an angry man!

Lunch - Restoran Peng Hwa @ Times Square
This was what we had after the angry incident at Coronade haha!! This was also the don't know how many times we've eaten at this place. Unfortunately, seems like the standard has dropped. But my hubby liked the curry noodle ;) Think the total bill came to RM40-ish for these dishes

Hotel - Impiana (2 Jul)

New hotel very near KLCC (less than 10mins walk), just opened last year. S$102 nett per night inclusive of 2 breakfasts through http://sg.pyotravel.com/exec/100790/340/.

We were certainly impressed with the quality of the hotel! Well, it's new, so design and furnitures were all of contemporary make. *Sigh*.. regretted not staying all 3 nights there! Nevermind, we're planning to return in Sept with my cousin & gf as well as my sister & BIL! Yeah!! But there'll be no more sale ;( hmmm.. Perhaps there's post-sales??!! Haha!

Iketeru at Hilton Hotel
This is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Ala-carte buffet lunch at RM98++ or RM168++ per pax (with champagne), available only on Sat and Sun 12-2.30pm. Free flow of all 50+ items on the menu! For the wide variety and great quality, it's definitely well worth it! Yummilicious!! The pictures speak for themselves!! Note that reservation's recommended and you can do it online at http://www.kl-studio.com/.

A&W
No longer available in Singapore, it felt good to drink the good old root beer with ice-cream again! We also had curly fries - unfortunately, quality dropped ;( The chicken tasted awful! Yucks! Haha!

Transformers
Watched it at KLCC. Fantastic movie! We love it!!! RM11 per ticket. If you haven't known, the movie ticket prices in Malaysia vary depending on how new or old the movie is. Anyway, something spoilt the enjoyment. A middle finger pointing scene was pixelated, and there was a little glitch - a short scene was repeated haha! Nevertheless, it was a very exciting movie, action-packed throughout! Much better than Fantastic Four ;)

Shopping
We went Sungei Wang, Lot10, Berjaya Times Square, Mid Valley Megamall and KLCC. If you have more time, there's One Utama and (the new) The Curve at Petaling Jaya (about 20min taxi ride from city centre). Actually, one can find similar stores in every mall, so, if you only have time for one, KLCC is enough to do relative damage to your wallet haha! Ok, these were what I bought :

A bag
2 t-shirts (not for myself)
2 pairs of pants
2 pairs of *uh-hum*
2 pairs of shoes

Total about RM400 for 8 items.. hehee... I'm totally elated and satisfied with this trip. Looking forward to the next trip!
