Why, why & who

Took a bus ride to town today. 106 passes through the Holland and Orchard area before reaching Raffles City, my destination. Made many interesting observations on the way. If you like, you may attempt to answer some of my queries below but no crap answers please... so Mr 'boliao' Eng, you are banned! Hahaha!!

1. A girl board from opposite Singapore Poly. I presume she's still a student. She was sitting in the seat in front of mine. Saw her dark, black, curly, fake eyelashes. I wasn't sure at first until I saw her real eyelashes. Imagine two layers of eyelashes. Anyway, my question: do students nowadays put on such heavy makeup for school?? I can understand if one's attending party or perhaps has landed herself a role in a wayang theatre. But a student??? And she was dressed more formally than I am haha! If my girl becomes like this in future, I'd cane her hahah!! Joking!

2. Passed by Tanglin Mall and saw long queue of expats queuing for taxi. I've always noticed expats like to patronise Tanglin Mall. Why ar?

3. Saw a Porsche car plate number SJG1S cruised down Orchard Road. I don't know what model it is but I believe any of it is probably enough to last me half a lifetime??!!! Hahah!! Anyone knows who the owner is??? Argghh!! Tsk tsk tsk!! I'm envious! Ok, actually I'm jealous hahaha!! Kidding! ;p

I will attempt to comment or provide some hypotheticals on your 2 questions and a statement...heehee.

1. Perhaps now there is greater competition for a guy or gal's attention? And guys or gals dun go for just a gal's original look so she either has to look like a taiwanese cutie-pie, doey-eyed starlet, or she has some other job as an escort? =P

2) Maybe those expats knows there are more cabs there than any other cab stand in Orchard Road? Especially since it's about the start of Orchard Road so there is a higher chance to get a cab there? And despite the assumption that only expats can afford the expensive stuff in Tanglin Mall (altho some indeed can but these days, there are fewer expat packages so think that's a minority), they are actually stingy/ thrifty (??) so rather than pay booking fees, they walk to the best cab stand in town.

3) There are better cars than a Porsche like a nice Mazda MX-8, which leaves me money for shopping, travel, and more! =O)

1. er, we call her young girl but call you auntie. maybe she also blog about this event leh? "saw an auntie after school today, do auntie awlays dressed this way? when i grow up, i will never dress like that!"

2. dun like that branded the expats.from what i know, tanglin mall got quite a number of shops and even learning centres. they have children gym also. They have a shop that design special shoes for kids with flat foot. speech therapy centre for kids.this also means, the place is kind of ex to be around. expats got more money? maybe their hubby work here on a diff package? maybe their company paid all these lessons and gym classes for their kids? There aint too many kids centered malls in spore also. the other i think is Novena square.Maybe most of them stay near town than rural area like jurong west, jln bahar?(ops!)

3.dun buy car even better!think $30k worth of shopping!wah lau... dunno what to buy....
