I don't know if it's just me. Have you noticed there are more kids with myopia in Singapore? They could be as young as kindergarten to primary and older. It's such a pity that they had to wear specs at their age. Here are some statistics on the rate of myopia from SNEC:
7 year old - 25%
9 year old - 33%
12 year old - 50%
18 year - >80%
I think these figures are quite alarming, isn't it??
*Sigh*... I just feel kinda sad for these kids. So, parents, please take good care of your kids' vision okie. If you need assistance, SNEC has recently launched a NeuroVision program which aims to improve eyesight without surgery or medications by training the brain to see sharper.
